She was predeceased by: her parents, Rufus Edwards and Ruby Milton Edwards; her significant other Melad Smith; her son Victor; and her siblings, Deloris Roberson, Lois Smith, Pluma Everett, Ruby Dell Peterson, Valerie Thompson, Rufus Edwards, Jr. and Daniel Edwards.
She is survived by: her children, Dr. Melad Jr., Jessie (Oria), Joyce Christopher, William, Janice Bolden (Robert), Ronnie, Timothy, Maria Jones (Michael), Robin Taylor (Cornelius), Jeffery, Reginald (Charlene), Resa and Scott; her sisters, Raffie Durham of Cleveland Ohio and Warlene Marshall of Trenton, NJ; her sister-in-law Pearlie Edwards; and her godchildren, June Allison Milton-Smith, Brian Everett and Alexis Foley. She is also survived by 51 Grandchildren, 78 Great Grandchildren, four Great Great Grandchildren.
