He was predeceased by: his mother Barbara Ann Chesser; and his brothers, Ronnie Chesser, Danny Chesser and Steven Chesser. He is survived by: his children, Delecia O'Berry (Justin), Francis Eugene Chesser, Margaret Varnes and Peggy Gay; his grandchildren, Travis Levi and Marisa O'Berry; and his close friend Gloria Delene Davis. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives.
