He was predeceased by: his father Glen Robert Bethel; and his son Gavin Bethel. He is survived by: his children, Robert Harrison Bethel and Sabrina; his children-in-law, Stephen Higgs and Nicole Bethel; his grandchildren, Drake Bethel, Alexander Bethel and Shay Bethel; his stepmother Anne Bethel; and his sisters, Tina Rutledge, Anita Fisher, Rhonda Pinder, Renee Bethel, Darlene Cox and Dawn Potts. He is also survived by many nieces & nephews.
