With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Philip Eugene Strickland (Flowery Branch, Georgia), born in Gainesville, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 16, 2025 at the age of 74. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Jimmie Lou Strickland and Harry Eugene Strickland; his wife Teresa Strickland; his children, Jennifer Kogod (Murray Kogod), Dana Walker (Joey Walker) and Matthew Strickland (Katie Strickland); his grandchildren, Brooklyn, Brantley, Reagan, Ella, Ross, Jad, Evan and Ruby; his siblings, Judy Barfield (Joe Barfield), Lisa Slaten and Tim Strickland (Renee Strickland); and his cousin David Emmett (Marilyn Emmett).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Memorial Park South Funeral Home (4121 Falcon Pkwy, Flowery Branch, GA 30542). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Chestnut Mountain Church. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 at the same location.
