He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard J. Reed and Bunice Waldrip Reed; his grandchild Chris Reed; and his sister Louise Smith. He is survived by: his wife Gladys Byers Reed of Flowery Branch; his son Dennis; his daughter-in-law Frankie Reed of Gainesville; his grandchildren, Misty Roach, Kim Rush (Brad), Russ and Lara Reed; and his sister Elise Stone (Johnny). He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Memorial Park Funeral Home (2030 Memorial Park Dr, Gainesville, GA 30504). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Pine Crest Baptist Church (2520 Mountain View Rd, Gainesville, GA 30504).
