Louise Anne Winquist Obituary

Louise Winquist, 50, of Flowery Branch, GA, died Monday, November 21st, 2022, after a battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her loved ones in her home.

Louise is survived by her husband, Craig; her children, Brittany Ciaran, Taylor, and Geordan; her sisters, Karen Vince and Ingrid Young; along with many cousins, nephews, nieces, and their children.

Born in South Africa, she moved to the USA in 2009, becoming a US citizen in 2021. She enjoyed working with children and young adults with special needs, having a unique gift to connect with them and enrich their lives.

Louise was a dedicated mother and wife. A true friend who, lived for the happiness of those she cared for. She had sacrificed so much in life to provide love and security for her children. They in turn loved her deeply and that created a strong family nucleus that was strengthened through any challenges it faced.

At heart though, she was a free spirit and enjoyed discovering spirituality through travel and new experiences. She worked hard on becoming her best version. She was fortunate to live in multiple countries and states and travelled to various parts of the world.

As her name means, Louise was a true warrior. It didn't matter what the challenge was, she attacked it head on. She did this throughout her life and even in her last days, she fought with everything she had to her last breath.

A celebration of Louise will include a live stream for family and friends throughout the world and a small gathering will take place at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. Celebration of Life will be on Monday, November 28, 2022 at 12:00 PM, EST.

Louise had requested this be an uplifting experience and wished that no one wear black, rather, dress informally and brightly.
