He was predeceased by: his son Nicholas Jonathan Barrett; his parents, Cecil Barrett and Nora Barrett; his parents-in-law, Henry B. and Annie Mae Burrell; and his brother Phillip Barrett.
He is survived by: his children, Nathan Barrett (Amber) and Brittany Barrett Means (Jai); his wife Betty Burrell Barrett of Flowery Branch; his children-in-law, Amber Barrett of Braselton and Jai Means of Flowery Branch; his grandchildren, Mattie Barrett, Jaxon Barrett, Miken Means, Maeleigh Kate Means, Asher Barrett and Jaiden Means; his sister Lucille; his brother-in-law Leon Brown; his brother Ricky; and his sisters-in-law, Judy Barrett and Labrada Barrett. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, cousins, family, and friends.
