He was predeceased by: his mother Lucy Bell Hughey (Martin); his siblings, Vasco Hughey (Junior) and Lucille Cooper (Hughey); and his mother Reverend Vasco Hughey (VS). He is survived by: his children, Chad Hughey (Kaunili) and Carmen Drew (Hughey); his wife Brenda Hughey (Evans); his brothers, Willie Hughey (Annie), Ralph Hughey, Rev. JT Hughey (Glenda) and Bobby Hughey (Vivian); his goddaughter Abbrea Milton (Kenneth); and also, Taylor, Zaria, Kem, Thomas (TJ), Randy, Lanier, Darrius, Devin, Amir, James, Kristian, Kamryn, Kenneth Jr., Raelyn and Juanita Cooper of Charlotte, N. C.. He is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren.
