He was predeceased by: his mother Irene Owen; his grandparents, Eva Owen and Ben Owen; and his siblings, B. V. Owen, J. C. Owen, Ed Owen, Virgil Owen, John Owen, Otis Owen, Billie Love Day and Ila Dean Crider.
He is survived by: his significant other Elaine Ward; his daughters, Denisha Clark (Jason), Mary Amburn (Vince) and April Johnson (Jamie); his brother Bobby Owen; his grandchildren, Damien Clark of Shonna Clark, J. J, Siah Clark, Andrea Brown, Lea Bailey, Brittany Sweat and Kristin Elkins; and his sister Juanita Goodwin. He is also survived by Several great grandchildren as well as a host of cousins, including his cousin.
