He was predeceased by: his parents, Artis Pirkle and Ruby Nell Pirkle of Flowery Branch; the mother of his children Rebecca Pirkle of Flowery Branch; and his daughter-in-law Kelli C. Pirkle of Gainesville. He is survived by: his grandchildren, Judith Pirkle Knapp (Erik), Morgan Pirkle (Kriztian Elek), Alex Aiken Oakwood (Kaycie Barnes), Reed Pirkle of Gainesville, Claude Aiken of Winder, Caitlin Pirkle of Gainesville, Ethan Pirkle of Gainesville and Nathaniel Stephens of Winder; his stepgranddaughter Lindsey Adams (Stephen); and his cousin Nancy Jones.
