He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Henry Stanley and Esther McCreary (Sowell); his wife Monica McCreary; and his children, Josie McCreary Johnson (Wayne), Genny McCreary Bennett, Bill Lindner (Gigi) and Connie Lindner Esford. He was also cherished by his six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Wirt McCreary may be made to the First Baptist Church Music Ministry.
