He was predeceased by: his parents, Weldon Straughan and Winifred Straughan; and his wife Joyce Straughan. He is survived by: his son Doug; his daughter-in-law Melissa Straughan of Flowery Branch, Georgia; his daughter Lori; his son-in-law Chris Eggers of Hildebran; his grandchildren, Alex Straughan, Adam Straughan, Cameron Eggers and Caitlyn (John Allemang); his sister Pat; and his brother-in-law Emil Kuelz of Roanoke. He is also survived by several nieces & nephews.
