She was predeceased by: her former husband Carlton Rudolph Rowland; her husband Wilse Martin Smith; her parents, Ezra Chewning and Sallie Chewning; and her brothers, Alvin Chewning, Calvin Chewning and Melvin Chewning.
She is survived by: her daughters, Linda Gail Rowland of Flowery Branch, GA and Jeannie Grace Smith Carpenter; her son-in-law Dwayne Carpenter of Flowery Branch, GA; and her grandchildren, Cody Levi Smith of Flowery Branch, GA and Lori Langman. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
