He is survived by: his wife Renee Rankin Jones; his sons, Jason Cannon Jones (Laura) of Lawrenceville, GA and Joshua Thomas Jones (Caroline) of Sandy Springs, GA; his grandchildren, Cohen Jones and Cora Jones; his brothers, Albert Jones (Martha) of Marietta, GA, B. W. Jones (Marsha) of Social Circle, GA and Carl Jones (Erynn) of Hillsdale, VA; and his sisters-in-law, LeAnn Jellinek (Dan) and Terri Maske (Craig).
In lieu of flowers, the family will be setting up the Dean Jones Tennis Foundation to benefit children with an interest in tennis since it brought Dean such joy.
