He was predeceased by: his parents, Alton Pethel and Lula Pethel; and his brother Willie Pethel. He is survived by: his wife Tina Pethel of Flowery Branch; his son Greg; his daughter-in-law Whitney Pethel of Braselton; his daughter Emily Pethel of Flowery Branch; his granddaughter Lillie Pethel; and his siblings, Glenn (Jeannie Pethel), Kenneth (Debrah Pethel), Steve (Charlotte Pethel), Mike (Kathy Pethel), Carolyn (Ron Tipton), Caroldean Childers of Gainesville and Christy (Stephen Kent). He is also survived by several nieces & nephews.
