He is survived by: his wife Mary Dowdy; his children, Matthew Dowdy and Devon Dowdy; his grandchildren, John, Rylee Linville, Jared, Alyssa Linville and Jay Carlisle; his great grandchild Ryder Linville; and his brothers, Mickey (Pat Dowdy) and Eddie (Renee Dowdy). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
