He was predeceased by: his parents, John B. Holder Sr. (Stella Bernice Deal Holder) and North of Georgia. He is survived by: his wife Suzanne Hawkins Holder; his children, Robin Howard (Scott), Tonya Driver (Todd), Jerry Holder Jr. (Mandy) and Jeremy Powell (Alex); his siblings, John B. Holder Jr., Connie Scott and Pam Ferguson; and his grandchildren, Bethany Whiteside (Daniel), Charity Sweeton (Hunter), Bradley Powell, Courtland Miller, Grayson Holder (Kesley), Aidan Holder (Britney), Anna Driver and McKenna Holder. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the W. L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Homes - Fort Oglethorpe Chapel (555 W Cloud Springs Rd, Rossville, GA 30741). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that a memorial contribution be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital at http://www.st.jude.org. in David's name.
