She was predeceased by: her husband Olin Lee Hays, Jr.; her parents, Sakutaro Watanabe and Tokie Watanabe; her brother Yasuhiro Watanabe of Japan; her parents-in-law, Olin and Gladys Hays, Sr.; and her siblings-in-law, Mary Walker and Morgan Hays.
She is survived by: her son Chris L. Hays (Denise) of Rossville, GA; her grandson Carter B. Hays of Nashville, TN; her siblings, Kazuko Nakahara and Kiyoshi Watanabe; and her brother-in-law Kenneth Hays (Dorothy). She is also survived by three nieces and one nephew.
