He was predeceased by: his parents, John Wesley Porter and Hester Woody Porter; and his brothers, Howard, Marvin and J. W. Porter.
He is survived by: his wife Clara Joe; his children, Richard Porter, Bruce Porter (Sheila) and Denise Collins (Steve); his grandchildren, Mackenzie Porter, Brandon Baxter, Logan Porter and Ashley Moore; his great grandchild Liam Moore; and his sister Doris Mahaffey (Don).
Due to COVID-19 restrictions there will be no visitation and the family will have a private service which will be in the Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in Cleo's memory to either First Calvary Baptist Church, 300 West Bell Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37405 or to Room at the Inn, 230 N. Highland Park Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37404.
