He was predeceased by: his wives, Linda Diane Farmer Johnson and Mary Ellen Rogers Johnson; and his mother Virginia Long Johnson. He is survived by: his children, Thurman "Trey" Johnson (Holly) of Midway, Joe Johnson (Samantha) of Jesup and Sheri Perez of Midway; his father Thurman Donald Johnson, Sr. of Ludowici; his siblings, Regina Schearback (Vance) of Ludowici, Deborah Harter (Drew) of Ludowici and Aaron Johnson (Carol) of Midway; and his stepdaughters, Candice Pierson (Paul) of Townsend and Kristy Clark (Wesley) of Riceboro. He is also survived by several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
