He was predeceased by: his former wife Betty Jones Brinson; and his siblings, Irvin Brinson, Jr., Mildred Kemp, Mary Sturgis and Sara Fagler.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Brinson of Fitzgerald; his children, Lewis I. Brinson, Jr. (Nancy) of Fitzgerald and Betsy Brinson Sampson (Allen) of Dothan, Alabama; his sister Betty Sue Davis of Port Wentworth; and his stepchildren, Layne Cox (Dee) of Albany, Scott Nolen of Atlanta and Craig Nolen (Heather) of Atlanta. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 367, Fitzgerald, GA 31750 or to the donor's favorite charity in Fitzgerald.
