He is survived by: his wife Janet Elridge Thompson of Fitzgerald; his children, Rhonda Suzette Wright, Alvin Thompson of Fitzgerald and Jeffery Hugh Thompson of Fitzgerald; his grandchildren, Amanda Thompson Shattles, Dan Thompson, Sherrie Carver, Laura Huggins Burgess, Kent Burrell and Emily Huggins Burrell; and his great grandchildren, James Nate Nichols, Emma Grace Thompson, Jason Charles "Jase" Burrell, Jr., Allman Thompson Burrell, Isabelle Jamieson Burrell, Lily Grey Burgess and Vera Lynn Burgess.
