It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Geneva W. Sowell (Fitzgerald, Georgia), who passed away on May 30, 2019, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her children, James N. "Jim" Sowell, III, Margaret of Cascade, Alicia S. White of Fitzgerald and Regina S. Prescott; her father Lloyd of Bowling Green, Kentucky; her grandchildren, Connie Horn of Fitzgerald, Erick Walker of Fitzgerald, Joy, Steve Matsui of Oceanside, Keith, Tabitha Walker of Bowling Green, Mary Helen "Faith" Brown of Cheltenham, England, Brandi Pearce of Bowling Green, Hope and Gabe Henderson of Charlottesville, Virginia; her siblings-in-law, Mamie Ruth Ellington of Fitzgerald, William C. "Bill", Marjorie Sowell of Fitzgerald, Doris Sowell of Albany, Margaret Sowell of Jacksonville and Sharon Grove of Kansas; her husband James N. Sowell, Jr.; her brothers, Dr. B. A. "Gus" Wentz, Melvin Wentz, Lloyd Wentz and Frank Wentz; and her child Hasan Shrine. She was also cherished by 20 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
