He was predeceased by: his mother Mildred Merritt Solomon; his sons, Chad Sidwell and Gary Dewayne Solomon, Jr.; and his brothers, Lamar Solomon and Steve Solomon.
He is survived by: his father Aldeen Solomon (Mildred); his wife Merla Solomon of Fitzgerald; his son Gregory Sidwell (Jody); his grandchildren, Alex Sidwell, Arden Sidwell and Ava Clement; and his siblings, Sandra McDonald of Fitzgerald and Tony Solomon (Sandy). He is also survived by Several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
