She was predeceased by: her parents, James Arthur and Gladys Lawson; and her siblings, Joyce Lawson Watts, Ralphine Lawson Alfred and James Arthur Lawson, Jr..
She is survived by: her husband James Russell Butts, Sr.; her children, James Russell Butts, Jr. of Cordele, Georgia, Cassandra Lawson Sampson (Tommy) of Albany, Telicia Butts of Charlotte and R'Zelle Butts of Smyrna, Georgia.; and her grandchildren, Janecia Sampson of Orlando, Thomas Sampson of Atlanta, Kaneshia Murphy of Fitzgerald, Jaylin Butts of Smyrna and Elijah Wilcox of Charlotte. She is also survived by four children: three daughters and one son.
