It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ben H. Evans (Fitzgerald, Georgia), who passed away on March 9, 2019, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia Brown Evans; his sons, Rodney Reynolds and Daryl Reynolds; his granddaughter Jennifer Dunn; and his siblings, Nora Lee Loggins and Oscar Lamar "Pat" Evans.
He is survived by: his children, Fred, Susan Evans of Ocilla, David, Lisa Evans of Fitzgerald, Janet, Gary Dunn of Fitzgerald, Cynthia and Johnny Troupe of Abbeville; his daughter-in-law Cathy Reynolds of Fitzgerald; and his brother Ernest Evans of Covington. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.
The family requests that flowers be omitted and memorials be made to the Cancer Coalition of Ben Hill and Irwin Counties to benefit children facing cancer.
