He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Jefferson Courtney, Sr. and Minnie Bell Courtney Floyd; his son Thomas Andrew; his wife Dolores; and his siblings, Jane Brooks and Jack Courtney.
He is survived by: his children, John Courtney (Julie) and Rebecca Smith (Dean); his stepdaughter Mindy Berger (Joe); his brother J. Douglas Courtney (Dora); his grandchildren, Jessica Courtney, April Ward (James), Daniel Courtney, Nicole Highley and Christopher Highley; and his stepgrandson Michael Berger. He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren; one niece and numerous nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Georgia National Cemetery (1080 Scott Hudgens Dr, Canton, GA 30114).
