We are sad to announce that on May 29, 2024, at the age of 98, Janice Rakestraw Speir of Fayetteville, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Greene and Angeline Greene; and her siblings, Ella Mae, Pluma Elizabeth, Charles Barrett of Ostell Vernon, J. H., Randolph Ovell, Nathaniel Monroe, Samuel Vaughn and J. Fred Rakestraw.
She is survived by: her husband Charley F. Speir; her sons, Michael Wayne Foster, Fayetteville (Linda), Don K. Askew, Sr. and Brad S. Askew, Sr. (Candace) of Franklin, N. C.; and her stepdaughters, Cindy Burns (Donnie) and Debbie Blalock. She is also survived by 20 Grandchildren, 35 Great Grandchildren and 5 Great Great Grandchildren.
