He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Phillips and Ella Hancock Phillips. He is survived by: his wife Jean Phillips; his children, Mandy Seay of Douglasville, Tiffani Campbell, Shon Phillips of Douglasville and Chris Thomas; and his siblings, Barbara Moulds of Southside, AL, Karen Beard of Boaz, AL, Billy Phillips, Charles Phillips and Kenneth Phillips. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
