She was predeceased by: her parents, Margaret Sigman (Mother) and Virgil Thorpe (Father); her stepfather Robert Fuller (Eleanor); her aunt Shaw Tromanhauser; her brother Virgil S. Thorpe; and her son Peter Joseph Gilbert.
She is survived by: her husband William Peake Gilbert; her children, Ashley O'Brien (Bill), Robbie Vekselman and Timothy Gilbert; her grandchildren, Patrick O'Brien (Nicolle Fernandez), Jonathan O'Brien (Shane), Meghan and Colin O'Brien; her children, Emma Vekselman, Josh Vekselman and Luke Vekselman; and her great grandchild Isabella O'Brien.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Westview Cemetery (1680 Westview Dr SW, Atlanta, GA 30310).
