He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Sanland and Mildred Sanland; and his son Donald T. Sanland, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Janet Scocchera Sanland; his children, Barbara Rigsby (Scott) of Fayetteville, Ben Wallace (Erica) of Seattle, WA and Ashley McElwaney of Newnan; and his grandchildren, Megan Rigsby (Brandon), Christian Kennedy, Levi McElwaney, Macey Williamson, Masai Wallace and Jozy Wallace.
