He is survived by: his wife Sherri Carter; his children, Amber Conkle (Kraig) of Jones County and Don "Trey" Carter, III (Kalyn) of Suffolk, Virginia; his siblings, Lenn Fincher of Macon and Joseph Carter of Gray, Georgia; and his grandchildren, Naomi, Jaida, Kody, Hadley, Colton, Mason and Warren.
