Though Deaconess Gwenivear may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Deaconess Gwenivear touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She is survived by: her husband Arthur Lee James; her daughter Jocelyn Rabon; and her siblings, Joe Burgess, Jr. (Mariolyn), Robert Burgess (Cynthia), Lynell Arnold, Hattie Mitchell and Cassandra Burgess. She is also survived by nieces, nephews.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM at the Legacy Funeral Home Chapel (8968 Fayetteville Rd, Jonesboro, GA 30238). A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
