He was predeceased by: his father George Weldon Carden. He is survived by: his mother Barbara Horton Carden of Brooks; his wife Mya Lee Carden; his children, Misty Carden, Barry A. Carden Jr. (Jennifer) and Nathan Byars (Hope); his grandchildren, Austin (Ashly), Dylan, Cameron, Blake, Brooke, Rylee, Ryker, Charlee and Rhett; his great grandchild Ivy; and his siblings, Randy Carden (Tammy), Donna Bunn (Steve), Dana Carden, Kerry Carden and Kevin Carden (Ashley).

Visitation was held on Sunday, March 16th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Mowell Funeral Home and Cremation Service - Fayetteville (180 N Jeff Davis Dr, Fayetteville, GA 30214). A memorial service was held on Sunday, March 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home (180 N Jeff Davis Dr, Fayetteville, GA 30214).

In Lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations to go to the Brooks Area Recreation Department in his honor.
