It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Edwin Alphin Griffis of Fargo, Georgia, who passed away on October 27, 2024, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Elemuel "Lem" Griffis and Alice Howell Griffis; his wife Dorothy Grace Barineau Griffis; his grandson Kyle Ware; and his siblings, Maldine Barnhill, Mary Alice Griffis and Arden Griffis.
He is survived by: his daughters, Grace (Bill Parsons), Georgia Griffis, Jessica Hart, Carol (Ken Leggett), Cheryl (David Ware) and Melissa (Steven Kelly); his grandchildren, Thomas Leggett, III, Rachel Leggett-Clement (Hal), Eryn Parsons and Ericka McIntosh (Randy); and his great grandchildren, Will McIntosh, Kate McIntosh, Cash Carter and Caylor Carter. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 29th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Fargo Church of God (274 GA-94, Fargo, GA 31631). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 29th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, October 29th 2024 at the Fargo Memorial Cemetery (165 Bluff St, Fargo, GA 31631).
