He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Champion Sr. and Floy Lee Davenport Champion; and his grandson Randy Wilson. He is survived by: his daughters, Sherry Champion Wilson of Fairmount, GA and Lisa Champion Gill of Calhoun, GA; his grandchildren, Alexandra (Chase Hall) and Carson England of Fairmount, GA; his brothers, Billy Champion of Fairmount, GA, Jack (Gail Champion) of Fairmount, GA and Von Champion of Fairmount, GA; his godson Dylan Young; and his close friends, Mary Ann Bohannon and Katherine Brown of Sugar Valley, GA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
