He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Neal Barton, Sr. and Sara Geneva Blankenship Barton; and his father-in-law Carl Drew. He is survived by: his wife Sandy Barton of Fairmount; his children, John Robert Barton, Jr. (Molly) of Chickamauga, GA and Sarah Durden (Charlie) of Fairmount; his brothers, Steve Barton of Conyers, GA and Neal Barton (Bobbie Jo) of Fairmount, GA; his mother-in-law Alice Drew of Chickamauga, GA; his sister-in-law Carla Callway (Matt) of Indiana; and his grandchildren, Hazel Barton, Lilly Claire Durden, Lawson Tate Durden and Hank Barton.
