It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hoyt Keener of Fairmount, Georgia, who passed away on May 26, 2021, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Clifford and Rosie White Keener; his wife Betty Lou Johnson Keener; his son Michael Hoyt Keener; and his siblings, Tom Keener, Alf Keener, Harley Keener, Bessie Mae Teal, Clara Bell Smith, Beatrice Davis, Connie Clark, Lillian Barton, Dorothy Burgess, Alvie Mullinax and Janett Keener.
He is survived by: his daughter-in-law Deborah Keener Hartman of Jasper, GA; his nieces and nephews, Cindy, Gary "Mongo" Ingle of Calhoun, GA, John Gibson of Fairmount, GA, Jimmy David of Fairmount, GA, Michelle, Robert Vines of Conyers, GA, Ruth Holcomb of Acworth, GA and Genelle Payne of Buford, GA; and his sister-in-law Sue Gibson of Fairmount, GA. He is also survived by several other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and many cousins.
