She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer H. Shellnutt, Sr. and Elizabeth Lewis Shellnutt; and her brother George Shellnutt. She is survived by: her husband Dennis Hand, Jr.; her children, Dennis "Dee" Hand, III (Susan) and Helen Adcock (Barry); her grandsons, Matthew Hand, Jason Hand and Nathan Adcock; and her siblings, Homer H. Shellnutt, Jr. (Tiffany), Richard Shellnutt (Susan), Carolyn Norton and Gayle Stephenson. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
