We are sad to announce that on February 7, 2025, at the age of 94, Rubye Pickens Newell (Fairburn, Georgia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Willis Pickens and Lillie Pickens; her husband Ruel Carl Newell; her son Barry Carl Newell; and her siblings, James Pickens and Belle Cox.
She is survived by: her daughter Donita Newell; her grandchildren, Megan Meeks, Landon Newell and Matthew Yinger; her great grandchildren, Crysta Meeks, Shyana Meeks and Davian Meeks; and her brother Dale Pickens. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Parrott Funeral Home & Crematory (8355 Senoia Rd, Fairburn, GA 30213). A graveside service was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens (5755 Mallory Rd, College Park, GA 30349).
