She was predeceased by: her husband Richard "Rip" Gowen. She is survived by: her children, Susan Cook of Newnan, GA and Kevin Brett (Michelle) of Sharpsburg, GA; her stepson Rick Gowen of Sharpsburg, GA; her sister Betty Jo Hanes of Fairburn, GA; her brother-in-law Chet Kisling of Fairburn, GA; and her grandchildren, Keri Tuggle, Olivia Cook, John Brett, Ty Shelton, Abby Shelton and Lauren Wallace.
