He was predeceased by: his parent Kalman; his son Wayne Newton Schmauzer; his foster mother Eileene Green Finnell; and his foster sister Martha "Marta" Finnell Patrick. He is survived by: his sister Karolyne Mikovics; his wife Barbara C. Schmauzer of Fairburn; his sons, Michael Steven of Fairburn and David Kalman; his grandchildren, Christopher Patrick Lillis, Mary Carolyn Lillis and Zsusanne Mikayla "Kaylie" Lillis; and also Shauna Schmauzer of Elizabethtown, Kentucky. He is also survived by three foster siblings and their spouse.
