She was predeceased by: her husband Stith H. Short Sr.; and her parents, Rufus E. Stell and Bessie Breland. She is survived by: her daughter Michele Zarzaca-Cockerill; her son-in-law Scott; her stepchildren, Brenda Short, Sara Johnson (Rick) and Hunter Short (Stephanie); and her sister-in-law Linda Stell. She is also survived by six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Parrott Funeral Home & Crematory (8355 Senoia Rd, Fairburn, GA 30213). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Sharpsburg First Baptist Church (6413 GA-54, Sharpsburg, GA 30277).
