He is survived by: his wife Jeanie; his granddaughter Hannah Abney; his stepson Brian Godbee (Nesa); his stepgrandson Jordan Godbee (Cydny); his sisters, Joyann Lindsey (Ted) and Evelyn NeSmith; and his sister-in-law Jan Abney. He is also survived by four nieces and nephews; and three great niece and nephews.
