He was predeceased by: his former wife Geraldine "Geri" Leach Batzel; his parents, Harold Batzel and Marilla Batzel (Desmann); his siblings, Donald Batzel (Shirley), Joyce Peri (Albert), Jean Bartlett (William) and Betty Fisher; and his daughters-in-law, Donna Conrad (Glen) and Lorie Wanniger (Ernie).
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy "Dottie" Templeton Howell Batzel; his son Theron Brian Batzel (Bridget); his grandsons, Desmann (Jessica) and Dustin Batzel; his brother Robert Batzel (Joan); and his stepgrandchildren, Wyatt Wanniger (Calli) and Ashlyn Wanniger.
If desired, donations may be made to Trinity on the Hill Methodist Church in lieu of flowers.
