He was predeceased by: his daughter Elaine Lewis; his siblings, Emory, Enman, Gene, Allen Lewis and Maxine Lewis Cox; and his parents, Lehmon Lewis and Avis Lewis.

He is survived by: his wife Brenda Lewis of Caxton; his daughter Shana Lewis of Claxton; and his sisters, Joyce Norman, Geraldine Harn, Reba Smith and Doris Jones. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
