We are sad to announce that on November 1, 2024, at the age of 87, Joseph Monroe of Evans, Georgia, born in Clearwater, South Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Monroe and Lillian Monroe. He is survived by: his brothers, Bob Monroe and Charles Monroe (Gene Monroe); his son Dan; his wife Donna Monroe; his daughters, Cindy Alexander (JD) and Connie Levy (Tom); his grandchild Britton Alexander Grimes (Kyle) of Bradenton, FL; his children, Keaton Griffin (Tom) of Lakeland, FL, Dalton Slantis of Augusta, GA, Kelsey Slantis of Augusta, GA, Chip Levy of St. Augustine, FL and Wyatt Monroe of Lake Wales, FL; his great grandchildren, Alexander Grace Grimes and Breit Eleanor Griffin; and his stepchildren, Kelly Gallup of Tybee Island, GA and Daverin Wells (Kevin) of Grovetown, GA.. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren and even great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church (3500 Walton Way Ext, Augusta, GA 30909). A celebration of life was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to First Baptist Church of Augusta, Benevolent Fund, 3500 Walton Way Ext., Augusta, GA 30909, in honor of Joe's life of service, faith, and love at the church.
