With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Timothy Shelnut (Evans, Georgia), who passed away on April 20, 2023 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Boss Willie Shelnut and Vera Tench Shelnut Crout; his daughter Julie Anne Shelnut; and his sisters, Rebecca Shelnut Tomczak and Sylvia Shelnut Goss.

He is survived by: his children, James Timothy Shelnut, Jr. (Bubba), Jeffrey Keith Shelnut (Brandi), Jessica Allyn Shelnut Albritton (Neal) and Jamie Lauren Shelnut; his grandchildren, Brooke, Ali, Jackson, Alex and Payton; his great grandchildren, Palmer and Hudsyn; and his sons, Bubba and Jeff.

He personally donated 1 million dollars to University Hospital for diabetes research.
