With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James D. Sargent of Evans, Georgia, born in Akron, Ohio, who passed away on October 29, 2023 at the age of 79. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James D. Sargent to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbert Sargent and Clara Sargent of Akron; and his sister Carol Moyer. He is survived by: his wife Ivy Sargent; his children, Matt Sargent (Deborah), Melissa Watson (Buddy) and Mike Sargent (Erin); his grandchildren, Brian Sargent, Kristen Payton (Drew), Ben Sargent, Sydney Sargent and Sarah Watson; his great grandchild Lucy Payton; and his niece Michelle Gaw.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Wesley United Methodist's Men in Mission Group in memory of Jim Sargent.
