He was predeceased by: his parents, David Buckner and Doris Buckner; and his son James Boyd Buckner II (Jimmy). He is survived by: his wife Diane; his son Nathan Buckner; and his granddaughters, Adreanna Buckner, Amber Fagans and Georgia.
A memorial service was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Three Nails Gospel Church (4569 Cox Rd, Evans, GA 30809).
